Story of AEHRT

The name AEHRT (pronounced "ART") is derived from an idea that everything is connected. It is an anagram for HEART & EARTH (which I only realised after creating my instagram name back in 2014). 

The original intention was a naive combination of the words ART & AESTHETIC... yes I loved Tumblr back then! 

With inspiration drawn from fungi & intricate organisms, AEHRT very much embodies the idea that all life in interconnected, just as the anagram suggests.

Hi, my name is CoCo!

When I was 14, I became fascinated by piercings, but couldn't get any real ones yet. This lead to exploring alternative was of being able to wear facial jewellery.

It began with wrapping pieces of wire around cylindrical pencils, clipping them and sticking them on my hole-less ears and nose. When I went into school the next day, everyone was asking me when I had gotten so many piercings, to which i responded by yanking out my falsies to their shock and horror, until they realised... "phew, its fake!". Lots of people at school made fun of the fact I was wearing fake piercings.. until a week later when they were asking to buy them so they could also get the pierced look!

A few years on, I realised many people, like my peers and I shared the same issue of being unable to pierce their nose, ears & lips due to a bunch of reasons: Allergies, Religion, Strict rules enforced by parents, school & workplace, and just generally not wanting to have a permanent hole in their face.

And with this realisation, AEHRT was born.
